La Ventana Retreat 2025 | A Week of Remembering Who We Are

In the serene paradise of La Ventana, nestled in front of the majestic Mar de Cortés, we gathered once again at our beloved boutique sanctuary, Casa Verde, for a transformational week of nature, inner exploration, and community.
Each morning greeted us with a sunrise meditation, bathed in the soft colors of the early light. From there, we moved into our Yoga practice in the peacefulYoga Den, letting breath and movement welcome the day.
After practice, a nourishing breakfast awaited us, followed by our daily circle under the Palapa—a traditional open-sided shelter with a thatched palm-leaf roof that held our conversations, lectures, and collective insights.
Through these group interactions we explored essential themes, always closing with a meditation that integrated the morning’s learning.
Then came SOLO Time—a cherished and intentional container to explore the Niyamas, the personal observances that guide our inner life.
The central question for this SOLO Time was:
“What is it that you do when nobody is watching?”
Throughout the retreat, the intention was clear: to remember who we are.
«In the end I think that my mission is to help people remember who they are—through meditation, yoga, story, and inner exploration.»
Our afternoons were gentle: a 4:30 PM Yoga session followed by time to prepare for dinner at Casa Xolo. The Ayurvedic meals there are beyond description—sensational, vibrant, healing. Magnificence might be the closest word.
We closed each day with a moon meditation by the ocean, listening to the waves as the night sky embraced us.
A few unforgettable highlights:
Excursion to Isla Jacques Cousteau
Hike to Punta Gorda
Our joyful Saturday night dinner—delicious food, dancing, laughter, and celebration to seal the week
The energy was profound. The group connection was real. And the transformation was visible.
Everyone left with the same feeling: we are coming back.
